Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri was an Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun and Beta Saajan. She started her career in early 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in Tezaab made her hugely well-known. Her next role was in Dil which she was on screen with Aamir. In her early years she began learning at an early stage. Early in her life, as she began acting as a young actress, most films that she made were not successful. In the end, she was one of the biggest actresses of Indian films. She decided to take a break from acting after her wedding before returning to the entertainment industry. She was a key character as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India - was given to Dixit. Also, she is well known for her charitable works.
